The student accommodation and information service will be closed from thursday 22nd december to tuesday the third 2012.

Third floor, main building, (ring at the intercom in the street) from 9 am to 1 pm.

You are not eligible to any kind of guarantees and nobody could be your guarantor.

Then, The Midi-Pyrenees Regional Council, in association with University of Toulouse, and the CROUS of Toulouse, is able to act as a guarantor for you.

Who is it for ?

To obtain the Regional Council’s Guarantee you must be registering for a higher education course.

Foreign students (with or without a scholarship) are eligible for the Regional Council’s Guarantee.

Warning : Students registering for a continuing education, a sandwich courses or a post doctoral research are not eligible.

If you share the accommodation, each tenant must request the Regional guarantee.

What kind of accommodation ?

Any kind of accommodation located in Midi Pyrenees

any kind of owners
furnished or unfurnished rental
single, couple, shared accommodation

Warning :

the monthly rent (charges included) must not exceed 500 € for a person living alone or a shared accommodation and 650 € for a couple
the owner or agency must not have another guarantee (guarantees for unpaid rents as GRL, GLI, FSL).

How to proceed ?

You have to fill in your request on line. You will find computers at the University of Toulouse.

Step 1 : REQUEST OF GUARANTEE

The student :

fills in the application form
downloads the written proof list, the affidavit, and the students' instructions
sends its file to the University of Toulouse

Step 2 : STUDENT'S ELIGIBILITY

The University of Toulouse :

checks the validity of the file
sends to the student a mail with an eligibility or ineligibility's receipt

Step 3 : ACCOMMODATION'S ELIGIBILITY

The student gives to the owner le "guide du bailleur" (the owner's instructions) and the following documents that have to be filled, signed by the student and the owner then sent to University of Toulouse :

fiche "caractéristiques du logement" (characteristics' accommodation form)
convention bailleur/locataire/Université de Toulouse, (the guarantee's contract)

University of Toulouse :

checks and signs the guarantee's contract
sends it signed to the owner

Step 4 : NOTIFICATION

The Midi-Pyrenees regional Council sends to the owner an official notification of guarantee granting.

When ?

The first and second steps can be realized before finding an accommodation and before the arrival in Midi-Pyrenees.
The guarantee has to be granted before signing the lease.
